OK. Bitten the bullet. Big box of boat and small box of hardware sitting patiently waiting to come together into a coherent whole. Still finishing the "dry dock" and extending the worktop area. Hannibal is a tad bigger than the Victory and my son wants to build his Amethyst there at the same time. All will be well but he's not a Pink Floyd fan.
Big thanks to Ron. Spent a very pleasant 3 hours with him talking about all sorts. Haven't seen him for 25 years but would never have known. So knowledgeable and enthusiastic (even after all these years). Last time we boated together was the Stevenage Scale Marathon. I had the Atlantic Conveyor, the only boat bigger than Ron's at 118.5 inches and displacing 350 lbs. A bump by carrier didn't worry us.
Purchased all that I needed and nothing that I didn't, thanks to Ron's "what do you want that for, you wont need it". Looking forward to the Xmas weekend now.
