Morning chaps,

I've just ordered a TBD 39 kit, and I seem to be having troubles researching it...was the kit based upon an actual boat, or is it just a generic kit, does anyone know?

as far as I know...!!
the TBD 39 is a model of a Type... and not a Scale model of a specific craft or Class of Destroyers..
there is an abundance of info on the net for TBD's ... searching for "torpedo boat destroyer"
there is a mention of early Destroyers being called A, B, C, D, and the named classes do have some resemblances..!
