 I thought that you might like more news from the edge of the world near Farcet and keep you up to date with the next addition to the Deans Marine range of Warships.
We like to add a interesting model now and again and this one fits the bill we think.
 This model with it 12mm draught is something out of the ordinary, its not a April 1st joke, it really does sail quite well, and it is interesting to pilot in any strong wind, just like the real thing.
 The prototype kit will be on show at the Dortmund model show in Germany over the 15-19th April and will be officially release at the Shepton Mallet model show on the  2/3rd May.
 The kit makes use of the our house Laser production systems, with a highly detailed glass fibre hull, full fittings set in cast resine, brass etched parts makes up in to this very attractive model ship.
 This kit has now been released on the first run system.

                       Humber-class River Monitor
Class of three ships built by Vickers for the Brazilian Navy, Javery launched 17 June 1913, completed November 1913, but Brazil unable to pay for the ships and laid-up in Barrow.
All taken over August 1914 and Javery renamed Humber, 1,260 tons, 266ft long, armed with 2-6in/2-4.7in howitzers, 9 knots, 140 crew. Humber had 3-6in from 1915.

         Details of the kit
The fibreglass hull in this kit is with full plating detail.  Computer generated LASER CUT 1.5mm H I Ps plastic forms the decks and 1mm LASER CUT  superstucture
 A complete set of fittings are included in the kit with all detail parts such as weapons, deck fittings, etc, cast in light alloy and resin. A  SHEET OF BRASS ETCHED DETAILS
 to add the museum quality of details, Propshafts in stainless steel are cased in brass proptubes, Vacformed parts for motor mounts, Funnel. Crows nest, ships boats and battery
boxes, comprehensive instructions, a C/D of the assembly of the original model with over 600 pictures,  and a FULL SIZE PLAN In colour, to assist in the assembly of this unusual
model with a fascinating history for those that like a model to talk about.
