Radios & Receivers and the likes of
« on: Tuesday | 30. August 2016 | 06:49 hrs »
Hi
I have been thinking about adding a new Sub Category under "Hints and Tips"
this will deal with computer controlled Radio gear, and how some mixing functions of Aeroplanes and Helicopters can be used in the Boat world...

was thinking of bringing a Test bed of servos and ESC with motors.. to show these functions at the Deans open days..!

would this be of interest to any one..?

Hi Colin,

yes that would be most welcome. I have never tried mixers so far. This year I changed to a new radio manufactured by Servonaut (2.4 GHz). This one works with my old Robbe multi switches.

Regards

Arno

just out a matter of interest...  ::)
which transmitter or system do you have...

I know Arno has a Servonaut, which I have played with at the trade fair in Dortmund, but not had time to look into the programming...

if you bring your transmitter and a Receiver along to the Deans Open days, we might be able to do some on the Job training...

I have three transmitters, Fleet scale 40 FM with one RX, Futaba 4 FM with one RX, and a Saturn 2.4 ghz with 3 RX.  None of which I can programme with a computer.  But if I was to want a new unit the best at an economical price would be great news.

Hi Colin,

I currently use a robbe Futaba FC-18 and a FC-28 and they still have me confused!!
Never had much luck or time in trying to use, or understand all this mixing/programing gubbins.

Both great radio sets, and I wouldn't mind you having a play around with them at the weekend :)
