Building RC Modelship - Lis Terkol - Part 2

Ive changed a few things in the build. Rudder is changed to a Robbe plastic/brass type, the propeller is 4 blade brass from Rivabo, drive shaft is from Krick with 3 bearring and the motor is maybe an oversize 755 from Robbe with build in fan.

Thanks Dave.

Well I except it to take until 2014 before I finish building this great ship.

I'm also looking forward to sailing with it next year.
I haven't decided what I will install into it yet. Maybe a sound module, lights, bow thruster (is ordered).

I'm also considering green or red colors for the ship

Battery is also not decided yet. I think around 18V and either NiMH or Lipo.....for sure NOT lead acid, they are too bad when getting cold or old....just no capacity in them.
I think I will decide after 1st test in water to determinate the water line

i was going to ask, which version will you be building, the Original Terkol (green) or the new Seetrans (Red)
these colour schema's can be seen in this forum.
you will find you will need a fair bit of weight if you going for Lipo's, i have 2 x 12volt 2Ah (lead gel cells) in my Lis Terkol plus a few grams of lead, to get her down to her waterline.

Thanks Colin.

Yes I know Lipo are light weight compared with Lead acid or similar. But the cool thing about Lipo is, they can keep their charge for 6-8 month and really have no memory effect. Nimh gets damaged if I dont recharge them once or twice during winther.
But I might have to add extra weight in the end
