Hi Stuart,
Here is my Tribal build = HMS Tartar.

Thanks Colin, I've painted the green parts of the decks.  Still have to add the brick-a-brac, painting the mast and touch up painting.  Then the crew comes aboard.

It's a very good seaboat!

Hey folks, it's ok to comment on the ship - you like it, don't like it.  Something is not as it is on the real ship etc.
I don't have access to British ships (except the HMS Campbelton - that visited Philadelphia in the 90s).  I photographed that ship from stem to stern.

Thank you very much Colin.  I really appreciate your help.

This was HMS Tartar after the 3rd set of trials, which she finally passed.  The rudder will have to be enlarged, as the one supplied doesn't give the amount of control needed to sail close with other 1/96 scale ships in formations.

Other than that, all was successful and now to finish priming and painting and last details.

This makes number 22 in the fleet.

I think I managed to get a photo of the Tartar on the 2nd unsuccessful trials.
Yes, and it isn't upside down.  This was taken about 2 months ago and the new photos will have detail close up shots - unpainted though.

Well folks, this holiday time was very productive: almost finished all railings - soldered and kit provided, soldered mast - fingers burnt well done, individually planked the 01 level, installed a new speed control tested it - works fine.
This weekend is sea trials number 3.  I will take photos with cell phone and digital camera, maybe the camera will be accepted by the site.  If not, Colin has graciously volunteered to post for me.

I've just reviewed and printed out a number of photos of "Radio Joe's" build of the Zulu.  I can see that he used other manufacturers parts (as I have) and he shows clearly parts that I was struggling with.
I use Scale Shipyard bits (that's what you call bollards) and the replaced the doors that were missing. My reason for SSY parts are because I drill a .032 hole in them through the deck and glue a piece of .032 brass rod through it.  This creates a real hard point for docking mooring, or towing.
I am hoping to solder the mast this weekend as well.

Being doing a lot of work on the "wild thing".  All the little brick-a-brac that makes the ship come to life.  My problem is that there are parts that I don't see listed on either set of plans. The list of parts contains a "instruction book" that is not in the box - can anyone email me the detail pages only? (FSerratore@verizon.net).

I plan to replace the speed control this weekend, and give it a dry run.  Next weekend is our monthly run at the Shrewsbury YMCA - York, PA.  They say the third time is a charm.

Happy New Year to everyone.

Hi Colin,
I never have much luck posting to sites, but I keep trying.

Update on HMS "Wild Thing".  On Sunday, I had a 2nd set of trials.  I replaced the rudder arm with a more positive locking system and tried to adjust the speed control.
It turned out to be the problem, so another will have to be acquired through the purchasing system.

Other then that, it handles well and is very stable.

Been trying to add photos of shake down of HMS Wild Thing.  It was like a torpedo, not a ship.
It has a mubuchi 380 (400) motor with a custom made 1.7 inch 5 blade prop.
By the way, other my data says the photos are individually 37 kg, the site says the are 100 kg.
I will try again tomorrow.

Hi folks,
I am going to try to post photos of the tribal build.  So far, no joy.
I'll try again another day.
Success, but upside down.  Oh well.  I have more, but will try to get them right side up.
