This is a Furie I built some years ago, which Deans have suggested I post in a photo of. I found it a very pleasant build and a nice practical size. Mega-projects are all very well, but demanding in every way; workshop space, display space, construction time, transport to and from the water, etc. No wonder a nice chunky little tug model is such a favourite project. I found the model very pleasant to sail, producing an oddly soothing effect at the end of a busy day. The picture is pretty and the setting helps.
I no longer have the model. In the way of things, I passed it on. But I recently acquired the remains of a Furie kit which some clueless chump had basically butchered. With patience and ingenuity I may be able to get something out of it. Deans are very kindly supplying a drawing.
