If that’s your first DM kit then you certainly seem to have done it justice.

Hi
Another refurb of the older models in the showroom, this one is approx 10 years old. Old 27mg radio and bobs boards and motors stripped out and new Nimh batteries, ESC and 2 motors fitted, linked through 1 x10amp ESC We spent a lot of time getting the balance spot on and motors fitted in cradles with foam pads to insulate from the hull, Double couplings, Tested on a cold windy day she handled a treat just as the sun was setting, hoping to get a nice atmospheric shot into the sunset ? she was running dream and them we picked up a bunch of floating weed, time we got her in and cleared the sun was setting so had to end the day,
maybe we can get her out again in the sunshine and no wind. Model is  1/24th scale, length 812mm  beam 215mm running on 2 falcon 5 motors on 6 volt NiMh batteries.

Hi all
Bought my first deans marine kit in November - had only built ‘plastic’ kits before and wanted the extra challenge these offered. Hadn’t heard of this class of ships before and got ‘taken in’ by their design and history so really wanted to do it justice. Definitely found some bits tricky but after 4 months of work she got onto the water and sails beautifully.

Thought I would share the build photos here. Thanks to all at DM for their help initially with their advice and support

Sell your Model / RTTL restoration and sailing trials deans marine
« Last Post by rondean on 20 March 2024, 15:35:48 »
Hi All
Another restoration model project, a nice easy one this time.
This prototype model is of the R T T L launch in the RAF Hendon museum. This model was the first production model of a range of A R.T.R built models with design input from Deans Marine, produced by K Y models in China and distributed by Pocketbond under the Nautix range many years ago.
This model is the demonstrator model, one of 2, used by Deans Marine at shows and exhibitions all over UK & Europe.
The boat is now upgraded with stainless steel shafts, brass A frames and brass propellers. 2 channel radio with linked motors on 7.2 volt NiMh battery.
A great sea boat with docile handling and a very colourful model as per the real craft.
Now surplus to requirements as the model is no longer available.
It will now be developed as a full kit. Must be sold as we need the space in our showroom so it will be going up for sale soon, see our website in the sale section for details.asking price complete with radio and battery is £650.00 collection only
see her on trials on you tube here.

General Discussion / rip off website claiming to be DEANS MARINE
« Last Post by rondean on 16 March 2024, 13:12:18 »
HI All
We have been tipped off by one of our customers, we are investigating but we can not find any contact details so BEWARE

Hi Ron,

I was looking for some photos of a Solebay build and I found this site

https://www.qidjrs.shop/products.aspx?cname=deans+marine+kits&cid=19

It's totally obvious that they have scraped your website for information but as you can see the prices are the give away that it's a scam website. I thought you'd better know so that you can take action against them.

Anyway Solebay is progressing nicely and I hope to update my forum post with some photos shortly.

Best Regards

Built by Mr Saker..

Hello, I purchased the large bulk carrier hull from you last year, I thought you might be interested in seeing it finished.

My ship is called the Stolt Sagaland , she is a oil/chemical tanker of 44,000 tons, the model is powered by a single Decaperm motor and features working bow thruster, anchor winch and 4 two ltr water tanks
which allows me to pump water in to trim her down to her loaded water line. As always the Deans marine hull is of excellent quality and is recommended.
regards,
Kevin Saker
