Title: DEANS MARINE OPEN DAYS
Post by: rondean on 05 September 2020, 16:57:37
Hi All
The Open days in the normal, format can not take place this year due to the present crisis.
Due to much pleading from modellers we have decided to run a event on a much smaller scale ?
On Sat / Sunday the 19th- 20th September the shop will be one from 10- 4pn both days, we will have 2 marquees, (Tops only no sides) up for any modellers who wish to bring models along and have a sail in the test pond. for protection from the Sun / rain ( delete as appropriate)
The shop will be limited to 2 persons at any one time. Mask must be worn inside any parts of the factory, plus we will be short staffed so please bear with us if service and advise is a bit slow.
The cafe will not be open, so no refreshments on site. Chairs and tables will be out for seating.
The showroom will be open but only 2 persons at any time allowed inside.
There will be no building demonstrations.
The exhibition room adjacent to the pond will also be closed. replace with a marquee
Works tours and the factory again will closed to to staff and crowding problems.
Any modellers arriving please bring a card/ not with contact detail (phone or e-mail) to hand in before entering the compound.
Any club wishing to display will be welcome, we will have plenty of tables out spaced around the compound.
Please ensure social distancing in the compound and elsewhere, sanitisers will be on hand in a number of places around the site.
It would be appreciated if modellers / clubs can drop us a e-mail if they intend to visit so we have some idea of numbers and we can plan accordingly. plus if you are looking for anything special please let us know as we will them try to have the items on hand in the shop
We look forward to seeing you and meeting some of our friends again in the these difficult time, but I am sure any hiccups will be sorted in the normal friendly manner amongst model boaters. Some nice weather will help
 Regards
