1/200 trumpeter Missouri kit
« on: 21 November 2013, 16:41:00 »
Hi Modellers
Three days work for the development team and we have the first test runs on the water
of the new Trumpeter 1/200 Missouir kit.
The first test run is for the twin screw powered model running on the two centre 5 blade
 props, Kyte motors,on 6 volts.
Cast metal rudders, lightly modified to give better steering without change to the size or blade area.
Very impressive for the first runs, in gale force winds as well.
We will now complete the installation with the new parts and fittngs for the running gear set
 and do a 2nd run.
Next on the list will be the quadruple screw set up with four motors on two x 5 blade
and two x 4 blade screws as per the original ship.

Hi Modellers
The second model of the Trumpeter 1/200 scale Missouri on test. fitted with four screws,
2 x 5 blade and two x 4 blade brass props on her first test run.
Today the wind had dropped quite a bit from our test run of the twin screw version, so we
did not need to use so much power to fight the wind (gusting up to 30 knots on the test day)
Both models sail well and handling is excellent.
We will now develop the running gear sets and the picture instruction c/d from the
information gained in the test runs of the models.
Te propshafts, props, motor mountings and the laser cut parts have all been individually
developed for this model.
