From the collection of model boats by the late Mike Bond.
Mike Bond was a well known model ship builder who produced reviews of kits for many model boat magazines world wide, and for many years was the lead modeller of the model ship building team that exhibited at many shows across the U.K.
Mike was a great friend for very many years and we have been asked by his widow and daughters to dispose of his collection. All funds raised in the sale of these models will go to his family.
SURCOUF
French Destroyer.
Based on a "Maquettes kit" we believe. This is a very large and detailed model of this famous ship of the post WW11 French Navy.
The model has been based on a Glass fibre hull as opposed to the plank on frame of the original kit. An outstanding model but with age the matt paintwork french gray deck is beginning to fade.
