There are lots of ways to ensure the props are straight, get out some of the forum on tips and hints and other members ideas.  It will help.

No posts for a while as I work alot of nights. I have filled and sanded the bullwarks and still yet to find the nerve to attach the prop shafts without messing them up

Try this out. and get the feel of how it works.   Cut your entry slots in a long bit of plastic card. (using the same measurement of the cuts in the hull of your boat.   Then Take a small bit of balsa wood and lay it across the two cuts you have made and fine the center point for each cut on the plastic card.   The drill out a hole to M4 or M3 (what ever your proshaft size is) once done then cut a second bit of balsa wood and do the same again.   Then place your motor frame on the plastic card and install the propshaft with the 1st bit of wood on the top of the plastic card.   Using the second bit of balsa would slide this on the under side of the plastic card.   Then using the length of the cuts you made you should be able to fit the propshaft support brackets in place.  If the cuts are to short you will know to lengthen them if the too long you know to reduse them in length before you cut the hull.  See my photo and double the bit of wood to the underside.  Just practice this until you feel the cuts in the hull are correct to give a good straight line and you will then have your ten plate.  Hope this helps

Hi Simon
I see you are making progress,   the pegs come in handy sometimes , the needs of the modeler come before domestic duties I think that's in the bible somewhere  .LOL.

Iv had a small disaster painting my superstructure in clear satin because it turned all cloudy and looks a mess so will have to sand it and start again

Iv also tried halfords Matt clear but that went cloudy to. The only good finish I can get is with clear lacquer but its a glossy finish
