Gun sounds and muzzle flashes
« on: 13 August 2013, 07:03:42 »
Just watched this on Utube, 488 demorun. The builder was able to get gun sounds and muzzle flash on both sets of guns. Has anyone mastered how to do this?. I have chatted to the guys who build tanks but with little joy. Any ideas chaps? :-\

Gun sounds can be put onto the P100 "Noisy Thing" from Action...

he also has some flashers...

combine these together and you can have barrel flash and gun sound, there are of course other ways you could do this, but the above listed items are available on the open market.

best bet speak to Dave from Action..

Just watched the 488 video  and it could be done with a Tamiya DMD T-05 multifunction unit, I built two Tamiya full option tanks and both are fitted with this unit,  they have engine sound matched to the speed of the motors, controls two motors forward and reverse, has turret turning and barrel elevation both with sound, it has main gun flash that fits just inside the muzzle and machine gun flash via a fibre optic in the gun again both with sound, it would not be too difficult to fit the unit into a boat, at 1:24 scale the 488 would easily be large enough..
