DEANS MARINE 2013 Christmas opening
We have had many requests from modellers and the general public to open the weekend before Christmas to enable customers to collect kits and to view models in our showroom plus to seek advice on future projects.
To meet this request Deans Marine shop and showroom will be open over the weekend of the 21st 22nd of December 10am - 4pm each day.
This weekend opening is for model boaters and members of the public that would like to find out more about this fascinating hobby and to have a showroom with almost 200 completed models boat on display, plus all the new releases in kits for this past year, the new steam engine range, ships fittings and accessories added to our range of late, plus over 1800 fittings and modelling parts and equipment. We will also have on show our large range of plastic kits of marine subjects suitable for radio control, many of them now not available on general release.
We will also have on display new projects for 2014 to be shown at the Nurnburg model fair in 2014.
Also on display will be the prototype kit of the Castle class frigate to 1/96 scale to be released early in 2014.
This new kit will encompass all the new techniques in ship modelling such as Laser engraved hull plating on the lightweight glass fibre hull, a complete laser cut kit construction, new brass etching sets for extra fine details, and new range of detailed fitting from the latest vacuum injection casting process, plus new cast alloy fittings from the new Hi speed centrifuge casting machines.
The showroom will open plus our test pond will be available for demonstrations and general sailing, as this is a built up facility this is usually very popular with disabled modellers as it gives easy and safe access to the water and a shallow sailing area for models (provided it has not frozen over)
