Hi all,
here are a few pictures of my recently finished Dean's Marine GREEN PARROT. I decided to give her a quite heavy weathering, above all rust which I accomplished mainly by using 'Instant Rust'. This set contains two components - a dark grey paint containing a lot of iron and an oxidizing agent to be brushed onto the paint. You can almost wait until the first rust appears. For the color scheme I used Vallejo Model Air paints and various weathering products for the waterline, etc.
A Kyte motor provides propulsion. Because it is my first R/C model, I confined the functions to basic movements, so no turning guns or working position lights, etc.
A few days ago she had her successful maiden voyage.
Here's the photos:

as a late addition, here's a video of the Green Parrot:

Right at the beginning you see the top speed she can go. Much too fast of course, scale-wise.
