The RUMANIA was the ex Empire Susan when she changed hands to the WATKINS company in 1946.
The main changes to the tug were the removal of weapons and gun platforms and the refitting of commercial ships boats to the davits. At the time of her service in Dover she was painted in a colour scheme of lavender grey hull (Union Castle line colour), all other Watkins tugs at the time carried a black hull livery
