She was built in Denmark by Aarhus Flydedok A/S in 1991 and is classed to LR+100A1 ice D.
The ship is propelled by a Krupp MAK main engine of 633kVa giving a speed of 13 knots.
The fibreglass hull is moulded to the top of the bulwarks making construction of the colorful red hulled ship much more rapid, assisted by the block section of the bridge and funnel.
