D CLASS DESTROYER HULL. SCALE 1/96 Length 49" beam 6" These 3,000 ton destroyers were the largest in size and tonnage in the Royal Navy. This class was a design improvement on the "Battle" and "Weapons" class and were of all welded construction. The Darings have been known as "Super Destroyers" or very Light Cruisers and were often known as "Darings" in a separate class. This hull is moulded with all port detail, propshaft exits and "A" frame location points. The hull is moulded from Maritime Museum plans or will suit the plans by M Reading available from M.A.P.
