Hi Colin and Kiyo
Thank you for your kind words.
I have seen postings from both of you and can say that I enjoy the chat between yourselves and other members, not forgetting the pearls of wisdom which are so useful to newbies like me.  I particularly liked your videos Kiyo, your carrier is looking great.
I look forward to more of the same.

I think you'll fit right in with the hobby with a background like that, Bill. Hello to the community from myself too, by the way! haha

Hi All,
Thought I'd make a short introduction on my first day as the new "boy" in this Forum.  I have over the years modelled various items, aircraft, doll's houses and model railways.  I have had varying success in my attempts some I'm rather proud of and others well....  My great love until recently has been model railways and I have built and helped to build various layouts mainly in N Gauge.  The snow has now settled in my hair and I do find problems with my eyes at times as well as some aches and pains, which is why I have sold up all my railway models and equipment. I have moved now to RC model boats and am finding the experience most satisfying.  I am currently building or trying to build an MTB 488 from Ron Dean's stable and find the model quite demanding at times, however I will continue with dogged enthusiasm!!  Hopefully I will have it on water some time in the Spring.  I also do have a boat I bought second hand and a small fishing trawler.  They are both regularly sailing with my son's RAF rescue tender, his tank landing craft and his speed boat.  I do keep them some distance away from the speed boat though.  All for now, cheers Bill
