well thats 3 mast done 2 to go. all thats left to do is some detail like the wind speed indicator ,That will be done when the mast is glued in place .
The original plan was to super glue the wires to the mast. the fine wire is some sort of nylon and super glue wont touch it. So had to tie the wire to the mast using a single strand of cable many times .this still needs to be tyded up
Next mast is the one between the funnels . this one will take longer as 5 spot lights need to be cast .

Hi All
been a while since I did an updated . I am working on her masts . she has 5 and I have done 2 and starting the 3rd . I hope to be getting the all the lights working. Since I can find any 1:100 lamps I have had to make my own . Found some very small LEDs on Ebay from China. Been casting flood lamps in clear resin with an led in it. The clear cast is horrible stuff to work with .

Second set os sea trials. I have fixed the leak on the bow thruster . I tryed the main motor 720 on 3 diffrent voltages 6v ,7.1v , 12v and noted the Amps. The bow thruster was tested on 6v and 7.1v . On 12v she is to fast and on 6v she doest quite have the power in reserve req. at 7.1v she ran perfect and both motors between them pulled at full power only 3ah very pleased. Now I am designing the Electrics.

Hello all
i forgot about posting on here , sorry
Sea trials happend to day. The protec 720 motor worked perfectly . The beckker rudders make her swing very tightly. The second bow thruster adds a hell of a lot more turn. She can now turn a full 360 in about 12 secs. I tryed her on both 12v and 6v. 12v is abit to powerfull especially in close quater manovering. 6V better for close quater manovering .
There is a small water leak on the bow thruster some resin shold fix that. I need 12v for lights and smoke genrator and a max of 7.2v on the bow thruster . I am going to do another sea trial with 7.2v on the main motors. I am looking at ditching the SLA as the are heavy 12V 3ah 1.3kg 11.1v lipo 4000mah 300 g big saving meaning i can but in more weight low down. She need bilge keel fitted hopfull this will help redue the role.
Going to have a rethink on other working feathers as they add weight. Hope to now get on with the rebuild.

Hi all
Well got the other side detailed .Got some paint on the decks and the lane marked out ,so she now starting to take shape slowly. Got the number 3 deck done waiting to go in the led are on it to light up number 2 deck. Have just got hold of 59 5mm white led off ebay for peanuts . These will be defused via 10mm by 20 mm perspex strip to break uk the spot effect of these leds.

hi all. Here a bit of an update .  I have done the rear ramp and got it working so it now can be raised and lowered. the lower car deck is in. and can take 4 trucks. There a ramp up to the 2nd car deck which has the dip in it so the tucks can get under the rear bulk head like on the real ship. A second bow thruster is in. The new becka rudders are in which help her turn.
