Re: HMS Fencer transported by a normal size car
« Reply #150 on: 03 January 2020, 11:02:01 »
Hi Ron;
A great thanks for your comment and compliment on my post.
My "transporter"for HMS Fencer is Japanese Toyota ISIS in Japanese designation
with the length 4.65m and 1.7m width,which is much smaller than Toyota Previa T-spirit.
But luggage space could be available with 1.9m long from the back of driver's seat. ::)
I selected this car for this size to carry HMS Fencer which net length is 1.62m,as you know.
Here are the pics for reference.

Hi all the RC model ship captains;
My men of the first group of 15 RN sailors began working already for preparing to engage in
the Mediterranean theater. :grin1:
Soon after they were positioned, they have become so busy with their works. 8)
They are working silently and earnestly aboard the ship. ::)

Some are adjusting AAGs while other officers are ready for leaving the pier....

Re: HMS Fencer's keel build
« Reply #159 on: 31 January 2020, 13:57:08 »
Hi all
I laid down a keel and cross beams as shown below based on the instruction manuals
faithfully, mainly using two component epoxy adhesive(one hour type) and sealed lead batteries
 as weight and sufficient time for drying.
And I also varnished the wood parts for water resistance.

Sailing conditions are not always ideal for a RC model ship...
Pay attention to the countermeasures prudently against watertightness. :-*

Hi all the RC ship modellers;
It's the first anniversary of my HMS Fencer's commission today.!! ::DD
It is about 13 years since the keel was laid down on my work desk. :-[
But, actual building period will be possibly less than 4 years at the longest. ;)

Hi Ron;

I do thank you so much for your unexpected and highest level of compliment as well as
encouragement extended to me this time about my HMS Fencer.
I will enjoy sailing and detailing the ship for the years to come as she is worthy of
doing so.
I am firmly convinced that she will be going well enough even on my local large lake. ::DD

Besr regards
