Porthole eyebrows
« on: 14 July 2020, 17:21:15 »
Hi there, I am looking for the best way to achieve, the little eyebrows above the portholes on most WWII ships, currently looking a the etched brass ready made option or is there a better way to do this?
Many thanks
Phil

I am not to sure exactly what size the brass wire was or is...
The thinest that deansmarine put In there kits..
Probably a 0.5 mm cold pulled to about 0.3mm

Your next question is probably what is cold pulled...!

Brass wire can be pulled longer which means that it also gets thinner...
One end of the brass wire trapped in a vice, the other end wrapped around a rod so you can pull the wire without cutting into your hands...
