Hi All
Latest update on the Deans Marine open days, 18-19-20th September 2020
At present we can ot say for sure what the format will be, or even if it the open days will take place.
Under present regs we will not be able to have the café open ( lack of staff & regulations ) the evening dinner and entertainment will also not be able to take place.
We are very short of staff to man the demos and supervise the showroom ( limited numbers allowed inside) The same for the shop.
Some other traders are happy to attend, at present but only if  the stands are outside. (weather ? )
The display room, overlooking the pond possibly will be able to open  with a marquee attached so it is a outside space  (social distancing rules apply) for any visiting clubs ) weather dependant ?
Any one attending must leave a card or information with contact details, e-mail or phone ?
At present we may only have the shop open on the Saturday and Sunday normal hours.
We can only wait and see and hope to make firmer announcements early September.
 Keep safe
 Regards
 Deans Marine

To be quite honest,  It's not looking too promising at all...

At present no one from Europe could attend the show, unless they took 4 weeks holiday...  two weeks quarantine in the UK and two week quarantine opon returning...

Looking at the day to day gatherings that go on.. and the way people do there shopping (without social distance) , I doubt that this desease will ever go away...
It's going to take a lot more deaths until the JOE public realise what they are doing... ??? :police:

Hi Railbob
The ( provisional ) date is the 19-20th September, but as you can imagine this will be confirmed nearer the time, plus what will allowed to have open i,e, cafe, dinner evening, etc, will only be 2 days this year with the staff problem we may have
 Regards
 Ron

Ron,
Do you have days pencilled in or is it pretty much wait as long as possible to announce the date to be sure of making the event happen? I’d love to come down from the frozen north and bring my boats ( hopefully fully completed) to meet up with everyone.

Hi Klunk
we do plan to have open days in September, but we have to wait to see what the restrictions are are the time, we may have to fogo the sat evening dinner because of the crowd.  and there may be restrictions in the cafe, ?  if the local hotels are not open that will stop all the visitors from Europe coming  we just have to wait and see. if you need to get away you can camp on site anytime, but cafe closed
 Regards
