Well, she's been ordered just now, hope I get her somewhere by the end of next week (because after that I'm 3 weeks off from work and I'll be able to start on her right away).

And when she's finished, she'll sail very good as well.

HI torsten
All parcels overseas are on volume not weight, the  computer can not work this out that small items can be packed in to other items,
large boxes as radio will not fit in a kit, it needs a human to work things out for best packing, ie motors etc can be boxed an put in the hull, radio, the kit can be put in a longer box, and the radio added,
always ask for a quote on shipping mixed items, you get the best price them.
500 ah Nimh are to large this will be for both motors being riven together, for independent control best use 2 x 200 ah, one for each motor.
you do not need a v tail mixer, drive independent control of each motor, more control amd more fun, but more skill and practice.
Charger will cone with a UK plug, you will need a adapter to use in Europe
Shipping for one large box approx £33.00 to Belgium
No need for a fan at all ?
 Regards

Hello all,

I'm building up my shopping bin to built the HMS Cossack, with all required parts (motors, ESC's, mixer, servo for the rudder (the only servo I found on this website) batteries (I might have overdone it with 2 NCD9) TX/RX, props, charger (the first one in the list of the chargers). BUT then, as I checked the "checkout" to find out about the shipping price to Belgium, I was a bit baffled.

Over 100 pounds. Then I saw the weight (what makes the cost understandable): 22,0666666kg. In the webpage for the HMS Cossack it is said "sailing weight 4.4kgs". Does that mean I have to add 4.4 kgs or the total weight of the ship needs to be around 4.4kgs to be no the waterline?

I hardly can imagine it'll have around 18kgs of packaging material.

I have included:

2x Konder 11 motors
1x servo
2x NCD9 (5000mAh)
1x 162-15 Brass Propeller D-35-R-3bl-M4
1x 162-16 Brass Propeller D-35-L-3bl-M4
1x v-tail mixer
2x ESC10
2x nychrome couplings extra long
1x CG)1 charger
1x HiTec 4 TX/RX.

If I got something wrong, please do tell me. If I forgot something or would be better of with something else, also please do tell.
It will be my first built.

Also, do I need to install a fan under the funnels for cooling internally? I got some nice little fans at work from faulty equipment electronic boards.
