Hi Railbob;
Here are the pics of my HMS Fencer under testing and checking the balance
before and after the launching day.
1;I purchased lead ingots. each 2.4kgs and lower is the better for good balance.
2;And covered with film for safety against harmful lead
3;I also applied non-slip rubber to refrain from moving inside the hull when sailing.
Moving of ballast inside the hull will possibly result in fatal to the ship at high
percentage.!!
4;Inside the hull. An aircraft carrier is normally top-heavy from its configuration.
Therefore, securing both good balance and stability are fatally important to
sail,especially on the lake where I have been enjoying to sail the ship many times.
5/7;Under testing how she behaves herself in the swimming pool.!
As a result,she has become so clever by my leadership !
8;On the water on the day of launching, she behaved like a elegant lady before a
maiden run.!
Do hope your well-balanced sailing on the water as you wish.!!!
