English: The kit can be recommended as well for beginners as for experts in my opinion, straightforward construction but easy to build.
I have made some minor changes to the kit.

Bridge: covered with light trims slightly darkened. Reinforced with square 5x5 cabin opening and bigger hatch to the hull.
Cabin: planked with mahogany strips and reinforced with square strips at angles.

We will keep in touch next year, all the best to all of you and lots of scale modelling.

Ancora qualche piccolo passo

English: Some more small steps. Coloured the window frames (Tamiya Acrylic paint) and fixed them at the cabin (The windows will be glued inside after having applied a thin layer of epoxi resin to make them waterproof).

Buon giorno,
Grazie

English: Hi all, I need, if possible, an advice.
Do I have to paint a layer of primer at the complete hull? Which colour may I choose for the area under the waterline? Above waterline I will choose white as the instructions say which is more elegant.
Thanks

so far I have never covered my models with primer..!
I clean the hulls with an abrasive cleaner, for example Jiff or what's called "Sugar Soap"
then I give them a rub down with fine sandpaper (emery cloth) some were between 180 to 220 grit.
then clean the dust off and other bits with a type of paint thinner
then I paint them with Humbrol No. 70 (RAL 3009) (Revel 37)
straight out of the tin with a brush.. hand painted..

some people go for the lighter shades of Red, I prefer the darker shades..
hope this helps

@ Colin in English: For myself I always use primer. It seems to be easier to apply the paint for me (I use an airbrush). I have seen some models built by Colin: he is a master of arts with a brush, not me.

A risentirci e grazie ancora.

English: Thanks for your advice, I will follow and put into practice.
As colours I use acrylics by Tamiya and hope they will work well, as red I prefer colours with a darker shade, so will add some black. Today I will continue with the cabin, install the doors and the laser cut windows.
We will stay in contact and thanks again.

English: Hi all, a little doubt: waterline. Can you tell me which one of the three lines shown at the plan I have to choose? Thanks.
In English: I came across that problem with several kits as well. I have always chosen the line in the middle regarding the model in the bath tub.

There should be a blue or black line that goes the hole length of the model and protrudes beyond the stern an bow, with little lines at the bow and stern outside of the model... this might even be marked LWL
That would be the waterline..
