Re: HMS Fencer with a prop spinning fighter,,
« Reply #240 on: 25 October 2020, 05:52:39 »
Hi all the RC ship captains;
I have 21 Spit Fires at 1/100,among which 14 are aboard as shown below.
To my regret,none of them are propeller spinning at this time. :'(
I want one at least that is spinning a prop powerfully as a Zero Fighter as seen below. :-[
In such a circumstances.I found a very small motor like the size as shown below.
The size is sufficiently small for the 1/100 Spit Fire fuselage as shown below. ::DD
I am so excited to know about the small motor as to realize my desire in the near
future if my skill and ideas should get to the required craftmanship. ;D?
I have an idea to fulfil a prop spinning fighter with a tail gear up.

Hi all the RC ship captains;
HMS Fencer is now ready to go with all 20 fighters aboard for a mission!  ;D
One left is under construction for a motorised movable propeller as posted
above,that is waiting for the motor to come in the next month. ::)
The pics I dare to say are entitled "The aircraft carrier".  :D ;D ::DD

Hi Kiyoshi
 Looking good as always with your work I think with all those props spinning you will get another mile per hour our of her, or not need the main motors as much ?
 good work always great to see

As I'm also looking for very small motors (for working torpedo's) can you post the info on those motors please?

Hi Ron;

Thanks a lot as always for your kind comments on my postings. :grin1:
A aircraft carrier model is so enjoyable in the sense that we can enjoy both the
ship model itself and the airplanes craft and/or their layouts on the deck ,according to
the time, place and feelings,,, ;)

I want to realize this kind of scene as shown below. :grin1:

Hi Tjorven;

I found the motors on the internet of the Amazon.
They are sold a set of four with the price at about USD13 in four incl shipping
worldwide.
The sizes are shown in the pics below.
Overall length is 17mm incl the shaft ,4mm diameter,which are very small.
I got them yesterday after seven days since ordering.
Hope these help your motorised torpedoes project. :smiley1:

Hi all the RC ship captains;
A Sea fire onboard fighter is now undergone to have a motorised spinning prop
from its beginning of the assembly.
1;Compare the motor with the AA battery.
2;Sufficient space for the motor.
3;The inside was reshaped for installing the motor.
4;The motor shaft is long and small enough to extrude from the nose that I decide to
  drive the  prop directly. :grin1:

Hi all the RC ship captains;
The progress for today of the motorised spinning prop is as follows;
One of the check points to pass securely is a drilling work through the prop shaft
with 1.5mm diameter. And 0.7mm hole has to be drilled securely through the shaft
as the motor shaft is 0.6mm diameter.Unless I do it successfully,this project of the motorised prop will be pessimistic nine cases out of ten... :'( :-\
1;1.5mm diameter prop shaft and 0.6mm motor shaft.Direct drive of the prop is under way as the motor shaft is long enough to make it possible.
2;I tried drilling using a spare prop for practise before the original prop.
3;And I took two steps to drill the holes to get the final 0.7mm diameter.The first diameter is 0.5mm.Both props were done successfully with 0.5mm diameter as shown below.
4;This one is the original prop...prudently and slowly... 8)
5;And I got it finally on the both props passing the first check point securely as shown below!!! ^^^ ::DD ;D

Hi all the RC ship captains;
I attached the props to the motor shaft to confirm if they fit neatly ,and spin
securely and safely without flying away from the motor shaft by high speed motor
rotation.As I did not use CA to bond the props to the motor shaft since possible
change of another prop, due to unexpected damage in the future.
The result was all right !! ::DD
The props spinned  so powerfully generating the sound like flying bees or mosquitos like boooooon,,,, ;D

Hi all the RC ship captains;
The progress for today is that now the fuselage itself has become complete
with the motor installed successfully in it.
The motor is running in robust condition even after set inside the fuselage
as shown below. :grin1:
The work is going well as expected in my head at this time. ;)

Hi all the RC ship captains;
I am awfully sorry to have kept you waiting so long on my motorised spinning
prop fighter. I did it finally and successfully as I had imagined it to be.  :D ;D ::DD
1;The fighter itself is complete as shown.The long landing gears..??
  Yes,they will play a role of switch. :-[   Moreover,the fighter itself will be a switch
  and the object of this motorised fighter project as well. :grin1:
2;Switch off
3;Switch on
4;The prop is spinning in excellent condition,!
5;The tail gear up!!
6;Just before taking off the deck,,,??
7;Side view
8;Bird's eye view

Hope you enjoy the pics. :grin1:

Hi all the RC ship captains;
Today's pics are as shown below.
I think no special description on them are required except the deck image with  two holes drilled by 1.0mm diameter. :grin1:

Hi all the RC ship captains;
The following pics are the scenes of a fighter No1 just taking off the flight deck
where many crews are seeing it off swinging their caps for safe return and successful
task.  ;D ;) :)
No description are required on the pics and imagine the atmosphere of the deck ! : :grin1:

Hope you enjoy the diorama exhibited aboard HMS Fencer. :grin1:
