A new addition to the DEANS range, Moulded rudder assemblies in hard nylon with a central steel shaft.

The rudder tube is moulded with a bearing at the top end, the lower bearing is part of the rudder blade moulding for a water lubricated unit, Simple and very strong. In three sizes:

AUTHENTIC NAVY PAINTS

Enamel paints for the Warship Modeller in 14 ml tins

These paints are matched exactly to the Snyder and Short paint chips, themselves matched to official sources. Paints should be thinned with for brushing & spraying with white spirits or paint thinners.
To guarantee an absolutely Matte finish, these paints MUST be well shaken, then stirred thoroughly.

Naval code of signal Flags    1900-1946  1/96 Scale

A selection of Naval code flags to add to your model, the ideal way to add colour and "life" to a model warship.

LASER CUT DECK PLANKS

Laser cut planks developed by Deans Marine for use on the museum and display professional model making arm of the company

Now available for the modellers wishing to add scale planking to their Model

These planks are cut from boxwood by optical lasers giving a perfect cut plank with SQUARE edges enabling a uniform plank runs and a perfect ”caulk” line to be obtained with ease. Planks are cut from polished boxwood and are in lengths of 600 mm in packs of 30, and come packed in plastic tubes. Cut sizes  2 mm x 0.6 mm   3 mm x 0.6   4 mm x 0.6

TURNED BIRCHWOOD DOWELS

V1. The Deans video boat show.

This contains a selection of 32 models of all types from our range. Close up details, info on motors and power supplies etc, and some fairly hair raising on the water shots of the models on test to answer the question that models only go out on nice calm days. Duration 50 minutes.

V2. The Blue Leopard.

This short video shows you all over the full size Blue Leopard. lots of close up details, plus a tour around the insides of the stunning vessel. A full commentary about the craft and her specifications. A voyage into excellence and a fine example of craftsmanship. The second part of this films shows a brief rundown on the construction of the model kit from Deans, plus a section on her sailing qualities.  15 minutes duration.

V3. R.C. Marine 1

This compilation video programme captures some of the best in R/C marine modelling from the U.K’s top model shows during 1987. This video features warships, power boats, yachts, scale boats, steam boats, and novelty models.  Duration 50 minutes

Produced with the assistance of some of the top U.K. model boaters. This video brings you a selection of scale model boats seen around the U.K. Interviews with the designers and builders, plus an exclusive look at the latest from Deans marine, this film also contains a sequence on the full size Blue Leopard under sail.
