Open Day Information

Information on Open and Showroom Days

You can see all the prototypes that were shown at the Nurrnburg Trade fair.

The idea behind the showroom days is to give modellers a chance to see a large range of built models, the opportunity to look in any of the kits and study the contents, ask questions about construction and methods of building, and to have available expert advice on building methods and demonstrations of any subjects that the modeller might wish to have clarified.

Visit the shop / showroom and see all the range of new bits a pieces in our accessories section. Talk to other modellers who have built our kits, see their work, have some fun, and help contribute to charity.

We will also have on display the full range of MINI Z boats from Kyosho, these will be available for any club that wishes to put on a short race in our test pond, we will supply the boats to a race every hour, so if you wish to have a go at these exciting little racers, book a race now.
There is no charge for the loan of the boats, but a donation into the charity box will be appreciated.

There seems to be a rumour that the SHOWROOM days are for DEAN MARINE kit builders only.
We hope to see many of our products on display, and again meet some of our regular customers from home and abroad. The open days are open to any modeller of any craft that wishes to come, all are welcome to promote the hobby to members of the public and to pass on there knowledge and love of the hobby. There is NO charge for entry and any moneys raised from the event will go to local charities.

We have the local model boat clubs to put on sailing and static club displays with the view to bringing new members into the hobby, and meeting fellow modellers.

There will be a Perennial Plants direct plant / flower stall at the show

There is limited camping and caravanning in the paddock adjacent to the workshops but space must be booked with us. priority will be given to trade and club stands.

Send a s.a.e. with 2 x 1st class stamps for full information of the event + location map + accommodation information.

Refreshments will be available on site.

your Deans Marine Team
